BSLV Meeting Schedule for 2026

BSLV meetings are generally held monthly from September through November and February through May. The annual New Year's Party is held in January and the annual picnic and auction is held in June.

Meeting Location: Lehigh Valley Active Life Center, 1633 West Elm Street, Allentown, PA, 610-437-3700.

Time: 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted.

2026 Spring/Summer Schedule

February 19, 2026 (3rd Thursday) 6:00pm: Annual Member Banquet

March 19, 2026 (3rd Thursday) 7:00pm - BYO: Bring a tree to work on. Bring tools and equipment and any questions you might have on repotting, pruning or styling. Our in-house pros will be happy to answer questions and give advice. If you need any supplies from Sho Fu En Bonsai, please let Jim Gillespie know ahead of time, 610 837-6688. Also, bring a tree for consideration for exhibit in the MABS and/or Longwood Gardens shows. There will also be discussion of 2-point display.

April 9, 2026 (2nd Thursday) 7:00pm - Tree Selection for MABS Spring Festival and Longwood Gardens “Summer of Bonsai”: Final details of tree preparation, display, and labels will be discussed. Very important meeting for those wishing to display; observers welcome.

April 22, 2026 (4th Wednesday) 11:00 am and 7:00pm - Workshop and Lecture/Demo by Jonas Dupuich (MABS speaker): Workshop will be on a BYO tree and will be during the day. Lecture/demo will be at the regular meeting time in the evening. More details will be forthcoming.

May 21, 2026 (3rd Thursday) 7:00pm – POT-O-RAMA – Lecture/Demo: Presented by 3 experienced club members, presenting simultaneous demos on potting/repotting of nursery tree, existing bonsai tree, and raft or group planting. All presenters will provide commentary and useful tips that will benefit both beginners and experienced members.

June 6, 2026 (1st Saturday): BSLV Member Annual Picnic/Auction – Location will be at Moore Township Recreation Center on private pavilion. More details at a later date.
